Khadi Cotton

Khadi is handspun and handwoven Indian cotton. It is made by hand in the homes in villages using a wheel or “charka”. There is no use of external machinery used to create this fabric. Everything from harvesting the cotton, removing the seeds, separating the fibers, spinning, dyeing and weaving is done manually. It has a course texture which becomes softer with wear and wash.
